On 6th May 2026, the Directorate of Tourism, Government of Meghalaya celebrated the "Empowerment of Tourism Champions in Meghalaya" at the Orchid Lake Resort. The Government of Meghalaya through the Directorate of Tourism has sponsored 21 students to pursue B.Sc. in Hospitality & Hotel Administration at IHM, Shillong for the Financial Year 2025-2026. In this regard, the 21 students were felicitated with momento to confirm the Chief Minister's Meghalaya Hospitality Scholarship Scheme. Further, the annual schorlarship for 37 students from 1st, 2nd & 3rd year of Academic Session 2025-2026 were announced.
