Our aim at IHM Shillong is to prepare well-rounded graduates for employment in hospitality industry, hotel, tourism sector, management and event management position at a global level. The courses here focus on hotel operational skills, management position in the tourism and hospitality industry and the skills needed for continued learning in a changing global business environment. Well-equipped classes, hands-on learning experience, state of the art teaching facilities and skill- focused education are being imparted in the Institute.

Students of IHM Shillong develop a sense of social responsibility, as well as intellectual and practical skills such as communication, analytical and problem-solving skills through teaching in a blended learning environment in the form of lectures, seminars, tutorials and independent learning. Students of IHM Shillong are encouraged to actively participate in class, give student presentations and learn in student groups.
