Mission of IHM Shillong

The mission of IHM Shillong is to prepare world class skilled and competent hospitality management professionals with essential skills for long term hospitality career success and industry leadership. IHM Shillong aims to prepare students for the hospitality and tourism industry by developing their skills and techniques, personal qualities, and approaches. Students of IHM Shillong develop a sense of social responsibility, as well as intellectual and practical skills such as communication, analytical and problem-solving skills through teaching in a blended learning environment in the form of lectures, seminars, tutorials and independent learning. Students of IHM Shillong are encouraged to actively participate in class, give student presentations and learn in student groups. IHM Shillong's ultimate goal is to develop each student to become an independent learner, with strong critical appreciation and research skills.
